House music royalty is coming to Meow Nui. For more than three decades, Roger Sanchez has been one of the defining forces in global house music. From his beginnings in New York’s late-80s underground to legendary Ibiza residencies and dancefloors around the world, the Grammy-winning DJ, producer and label boss has built an extraordinary career on his instinct for the dancefloor. With thousands of productions and remixes, his iconic “Another Chance”, and influential labels Stealth Recordings and Undr The Radr, Sanchez’s legacy runs deep through house music culture.
On Thursday 10 December, Wellington gets the chance to experience a genuine master at work. Decades into his career, Sanchez remains firmly connected to the underground, bringing together the foundations of classic house with the energy of the modern club. Big system, big room, one of house music’s all-time greats behind the decks.
Support comes from Ügly Disco, rooted in the UK’s mid-90s warehouse rave scene and drawing from Chicago house, UK northern deep house and 90s tech house, twisted through gritty disco edits and half-forgotten underground anthems. Raw, rhythm-driven and built to move a room.
