Join us for a spectacular evening celebrating 20 years of the Christchurch Big Band Jazz Festival! The first half of the concert features Symposium Big Band, one of Christchurch’s premier large jazz ensembles. Formed in 2007, the band brings together professional performers, jazz educators and some of Ōtautahi’s finest players, under the direction of Alex van den Broek. Then, get ready for the acclaimed All Girl Big Band, bringing the energy with swinging classics, contemporary favourites and plenty of big band magic. The evening will also feature special guest appearances from the Swingtown Rebels and beloved jazz vocalist Erna Ferry. Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or are discovering the Festival for the first time, this is a celebration not to be missed. Come and help us toast 20 years of jazz, community and unforgettable music!
